The bigger and more involved the goal is, the longer you may need an empowerment life coach to help facilitate your success. Short-term goals can be successful with fewer coaching sessions if you are someone who stays motivated.
Accountability is a huge factor in what makes coaching successful. You can think of it the same way you would when seeing a personal trainer. That trainer holds you accountable to put in the work during the session, the same as a life coach.
Sure, you can just buy all the right books and listen to motivating podcasts on how to achieve your goal, but can you stay motivated? There is a reason you are inquiring about a life coach in the first place, you haven’t been successful on your own. And that’s ok!

How many life coaching sessions do you need for short-term goals? Let’s explore some popular short-term goals of my coaching clients. Preparing for interviews is a common short-term goal that many people seek a personal life coach for help.
Perhaps you need a little bit of confidence-building to prepare yourself for upcoming job interviews. If interviewing gives you anxiety, a coach can help you work through that. Often we need someone to sit there and hold space while we go inward to see the strong qualities we have within.
For this short-term goal, seeing a life coach once a week for one month is often enough time to produce the desired outcome. Coaching sessions are all about the support that you can’t find with friends and family. The true and dedicated support you receive from coaching is very powerful.

How To Plan For Success
When you have a BIG idea, sometimes it can be so hard to know where to start! Take things slow and map out your road to success.
- Get a writing journal
Written words are powerful! I encourage all my clients to start writing about their ideas daily. It can help you flush out exactly what you want to accomplish. - Do the research
When starting something new it’s so important to do the research. Reading books on the subject or listening to podcasts is a great way to start. - Schedule the time
I tell my clients to schedule dedicated time in their calendars to work on their goals. If it’s in your calendar, you are more than likely to see progress. - Hire a coach
If you are someone who can manage it on your own, then great! But there are so few people who don’t need a little help every now and again. Hiring an empowerment life coach will ensure you stay accountable and on track!
Long-Term Goals
When I think about long-term goals I think about making really big decisions such as long-distance moving, career changes, growing a business.
How many life coaching sessions do you need for longer-term goals depends on how dedicated you are to the work. Mindset Coaching will strengthen your skills to stay on task, and if you keep up with this practice, you can do it alone. A long-term commitment with coaching would be about three to six months of coaching.
Investing in a coach is really investing directly in yourself. And, though the financial commitment can seem scary to make, there is no better investment than in yourself.
The act of showing up for yourself is a powerful statement to the universe that you will reach your desired goal. Life coaching is all that you put into it. If you come to a session to ready work out your roadblocks and go into your truth, you see results.

When you see a coach for a lifelong goal it’s common that you would check in year after year. It is often not necessary to be coached on a weekly basis for years on end. When we are talking about lifelong goals, you are coming in for that extra help to clear roadblocks you come across.
Setting your sights on big life goals is a process, and seeing a coach helps ensure you will stay on track. This is why coming in periodically is so beneficial. My clients that are embarking on major life changes start off coming weekly for the first few months, then check in once a month thereafter.
