Have you heard the phrase “before you fall in love with someone else, you need to love yourself first”? Over the years I have thought a lot about that statement. Is it true? What would loving myself look like? After much practice, I will teach you how to fall in love with yourself!
Falling in love with who you are is the key to attracting others to love you. How or why would someone else love you if you couldn’t truly love yourself? In this post, we will be spending time exploring ways you can fall in love with yourself.
Tips On How To Fall In Love With Yourself
Feeling good about yourself is a daily practice that needs your full participation. You will want to pay attention to how you talk to yourself, and what actions you take to love yourself. We aren’t taught to prioritize self-care, as it is often seen as a luxury, when in fact it is a necessity!
If you deny yourself rewards, resets, and relaxation you’ll feel burned out much sooner. Loving yourself is something you should pay attention to, as it can be tied to self-worth. Subconsciously we give off vibes on what we will accept, and you can see the correlation in how you are treated. Feeling good about yourself and exuding a strong sense of self-worth sends a powerful message to the universe. You are stating, I am loveable!
There are many ways that can help you fall in love with yourself, and those ways include:
Love Yourself By Traveling

There is a lot of self-love to be had when traveling. It can be such a powerful experience! I am very well-traveled, and most of this travel was solo travel.
I learned that traveling alone can be invigorating for your self-esteem, and confidence. If solo travel is a little out of your comfort zone, then travel with a friend.
Even taking yourself on a day trip to a nearby town can be a great way to love yourself. The main theme here is to treat yourself to a new experience.
Watch out, traveling can be very addicting!
Creating A Morning Ritual
Another tip on how to fall in love with yourself is to create a morning routine or ritual. Starting each day where you dedicate a little time to yourself is key.
This might be out of your comfort zone, but declare love to yourself. It seems a little cheesy to look yourself in the mirror and say “I love you”, but try it. And, yes I am serious.
I promise you that if you look yourself in the eye and utter those words, it will bring forth some feelings. You might be feeling good, or a little tender. Pay attention to what comes up for you here.
Write down what emotions arise. I bet you’ll find that there is some inner work needed here!
More morning ritual tips include journaling, exercising, and meditating. All can increase your love for yourself. You can also seek help from a certified personal coach.

Committing To A Healthy Diet

This tip on how to fall in love with yourself is personal to me. Committing to a healthy diet is the ultimate gift you can give yourself.
Our bodies are our temples, and yet sometimes we toss garbage in them. It can be challenging to always stay on track, but if you start committing to a healthy diet now, you will thank yourself later.
Spending time meal prepping is a great practice of self-love. I promise the more you focus on your health, the better you’ll feel. Mentally and physically.
Celebrating Your Wins
How often do we really celebrate our wins? My answer is NOT ENOUGH! Now, I am sure if you achieved something big like graduating or getting promoted you celebrated. But, I am talking about the little things.
Perhaps you learned a new skill or finished a difficult project? Did you acknowledge it in any real way?
These small wins are important, and the declaration of a job well done is in order. In addition, making a list of your accomplishments can leave you feeling good.
The more days you are feeling good, the more you’ll find your love for yourself rising.

Be Kind To Yourself
This last tip on how to fall in love with yourself is the most important, BE KIND TO YOURSELF! We live in a society where social media is king, and overexposing yourself can be damaging.
Endless scrolling and swiping can leave you feeling empty and worthless. Remember, watching a reel of someone’s best day ever that is photoshopped and filtered is not their true reality. It is a curated moment.
There is nothing wrong with indulging in the enjoyment of these photos and videos, but pay attention to how you feel after. Some content can be trigging. For example, if you are sad you are single and don’t spend an hour on a feed filled with fairytale couple moments.
BE KIND TO YOURSELF! Your journey is unique, and I promise you that your time will come. But, in the meantime, take help from a female life coach(if needed) & pay attention to how you talk to yourself, and fall in love with yourself a little bit each day.
